High Noon

METRO MANILA / FOOD / Drinks, Dessert / Tea, Cakes, Cookies

1. What got you started with this brand? What was your inspiration? What is the idea/concept behind it?

We’ve always been avid fans of tea–milk tea especially. Our idea was to open our own brick and mortar store this year, but due to the pandemic, we had to think of another way for this to work. This brought about the idea of bottled tea drinks. We’re very selective when it comes to our flavors since we’re also quite picky with the quality of drinks. Once we were satisfied with what we created, we brought out our flavors. Our menu only consists of a few flavors to choose from because first, we don’t want to end up confusing our customers and second, we think these are the flavors that would suit our target market well.

2. What is your best-selling product?

For milk teas, our best-sellers are the Roasted Sencha and Hojicha. These are quite unique to the Filipino market as they’re not your typical sweet teas–the taste of the tea is quite strong and you also get a unique roasted flavor in each sip.

For fruit teas, it would have to be either the Ruby Black or Peach. They’re both classic fruit tea flavors, and the pairings with the jam add just the perfect hint of sweetness against the bitterness of the teas–making for a truly refreshing drink.

For our cakes, definitely the Half and Half Hojicha. We have never seen anyone do this type of cake before, and the unique blend of the creamy cheese with the smoky Hojicha flavor catches the tastebuds of many of our customers.

3. What do you want people to experience with your brand/product(s)?

We want people to have a unique gastronomical experience with our products. We are blessed to have loyal and supportive clients who order weekly–a testament to our premium teas–and this motivates us to give and do our best every single time. Since our teas are all freshly brewed, you can be guaranteed of authentic and high-quality flavors. We want people to feel like they can come back to our products any time of the year without getting tired of the taste. Our milk teas and fruit teas are all-natural, with no artificial flavorings.

4. What tips and advice can you give to entrepreneurs who are just starting out or are planning to start their own brand?

Don’t be afraid of obstacles. There will be bumps along the way, and you always have to try and test again and again until you achieve a certain satisfaction level. As long as you are doing your best to create the brand that is pleasing to you, you are on the right track. It’s perfectly fine to make mistakes–focus on progress, not perfection. Make sure that you do what you love so that it won’t feel like work–make it a fun and enjoyable journey!

Lastly, have faith in everything you do. There will be good days and there will be bad days, but never lose hope. At the end of the day, as long as you lift everything up to the Lord, He will have everything under control. “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men. You are serving the Lord Christ.” Col. 3:23-24

5. What’s next for your brand?

While a store/cafe is out of the question currently due to the current circumstances, we’re always thinking of trying and creating new flavors, bringing out new gift sets, and maybe even expanding our dessert line even further. It’s always about listening to what the customers want and trying to perfect our flavors every time.
