1. What got you started with this brand? What was your inspiration? What is the idea/concept behind it?
It started out as a hobby of baking during quarantine, with the intention of sharing the baked goods with my family. My family and I, being the coffee lovers that we are, is also what inspired me to start baking–so that we’ll have a supply of delightful treats to pair with our coffee.
My family and friends would constantly tell me about how I should really start selling all these baked goods of mines. One day, I finally decided to go for it, mainly for the reason that I want to share with everyone else the joy and comfort these delightful treats have brought to my family.
I have a huge admiration for Japan, especially all the small coffee shops I’ve been to there. I somehow wanted my brand to reflect the same warmth and calming feeling I felt from those quaint coffee shops.
For my baked treats, I decided on using sustainable packaging, even if it costs a bit more, because I see it as my own little way to help the earth and give environmental awareness to my customers.
2. What is your best-selling product?
My best-selling product is the Lemon Pound Cake that is made from 100% freshly-squeezed lemon juice and real lemon zest. This cake is really refreshing and lemony–a must-try, especially for all the lemon lovers out there.
3. What do you want people to experience with your brand/product(s)?
I believe good food is something everyone deserves, and I want people to experience enjoyment as well as comfort with my cakes.
4. What tips and advice can you give to entrepreneurs who are just starting out or are planning to start their own brand?
Don’t wait for the “right time” to do it–do it now and make things happen.
5. What’s next for your brand?
I don’t have any plans yet, but as of now, I can say that I’m really enjoying what I’m doing–baking cakes with love.
