1. What got you started with this brand? What was your inspiration? What is the idea/concept behind it?
What got us started with Comfort Home Manila was our love for aesthetically-pleasing decor that can make a home both pretty and comfortable. Our inspiration began when the pandemic started. Because we’re mostly staying at home nowadays, we have to make sure our home is a comfortable space to be in.
Each of Comfort Home Manila’s pieces are meticulously curated–with minimalism and functionalism in mind. We have convertible homeware pieces that create stylish and functional spaces in your home.
2. What is your personal favorite product from your brand?
Our personal favorite is The Clear Pot.
3. What do you want people to experience with your brand/product(s)?
We want our customers to experience a wide variety of home decor that help express their personality and also “spark joy.” Your home is a representation of who you are as a person, an expression of your identity. You should be able to express yourself in your own unique way with our decor pieces. Create your own sense of identity by surrounding yourself with things you love and enjoy. We believe there are no rules or limitations when creating a space that is uniquely you.
4. What tips and advice can you give to entrepreneurs who are just starting out or are planning to start their own brand?
As two best friends, we are never afraid to take risks and to just go for it.
The advice we can give you is to never be afraid to start. Focus on your strengths. But also be willing to take in constructive criticism and learn from it along the way. And most importantly, do your best and never give up.
Think about starting a business that allows you to be your authentic self. Also keep reading books that inspire you to become a better person–this helps greatly when it comes to motivating oneself and building and growing your brand.
Make sure to do effective product research. Use data and statistics to find your market niche. Do not rely on hearsay and gut feeling. Trust data and facts. In this way, you will be able to determine which products are best to put out in the market.
The journey does not have to be perfect. Just start and the rest will follow.
5. What’s next for your brand?
As we are still in the middle of a pandemic, we will be focusing mostly on online marketing for our brand. We might also launch our own website soon. And when everything is back to normal, we hope to be able to join bazaars.
